I've been lazy about posting here lately... most might be happy about that.
It's been a good catfish season so far for Scenic City Fishing Charters, although it's been work. Just about the time we get in a good pattern, Mother Nature throws us a curve ball (in the form of heavy rain and changing water flows) and we have to adjust places, techniques and tactics. But the adjustments have mostly been good ones.
Since April I've done 33 catfishing guide trips (not counting a few bass, crappie & bluegill trips). To-date we've put 780 catfish in the boat... an average of 24 cats per trip. Eight fish over the 50 lb. mark (most earlier in the season). I don't keep overall weight records but I would conservatively estimate that about 6,000 lbs. of catfish have come over the side of the boat this season.
Several TNDeer friends have paid us a visit. I hesitate to name them for fear of leaving someone out. :? But everyone is pictured in our Photo Gallery: https://www.sceniccityfishing.com/photo-gallery.html I pride myself on updating regularly and dating every photo so visitors know exactly what we were catching and when. Unless you go prowling to past photo galleries on your own, you won't find any old, outdated photos on our website.
Got catfish questions about Chickamauga or Nickjack... or in general? I'll be happy to share whatever I can. Just remember that life is good and gettin' better every day!
