Indian Boundary lake is really clear right now. Well, clearer than what I normally fish on Watts Bar and Chickamauga. Easily can see 8 feet deep...probably more like 10. I could see beds and fish fanning them. They wouldn't hit a thing while it was calm and the water slick as glass but when the wind picked up, I could sit basically on top of them and it was a nearly every cast deal. Caught a bunch of small fish today...6 bass, 2 yellow perch, shellcrackers, lots of very aggressive pumpkinseeds, and some bluegill but not very many. Quality was lacking today for sure. But...was a great day and I was the only person fishing for 3/4 of the trip. Here's what I brought home.

I've been wanting to go back for some time. Shellcracker and crappie fishing was really good a few years back.

I fish up there a lot, and I know crappie are in there but I have yet to catch a single one! I don't know what the deal is with that. It's also where I caught the 60 lb blue cat a few yrs ago. I've been seeing some guys launching bass boats to fish it with trolling motor power. Talked to one guy up there that drives all the way from Blount County hauling his boat up the mtn to bass fish it in his boat. I've never exclusively bass fished it but always catch bass when I'm fishing for other things. When I had my other kayak with depth finder on it, I scanned the whole lake. It's actually deeper in some places than what I thought; 28-30 feet over in the main channel.
