Broken tines

I'm seeing rubs and scrapes, but not at the level of what I would see in a good acorn year. It's almost as if this year is a cross between an adequate acorn year and acorn failure year.

Another interesting thing is on one end of my property, all the buck usage of scrapes is at night. On the other end, almost all in daylight. Weird.

I'm barely seeing activity where I'm at. No acorns and bucks are still in bachelor groups. I have heard some light sparring from the younger bucks though.
Hoping this season will pick up soon. I haven't shot a deer yet.

I have one picture of a mature buck and several pics of 1-2 year olds. They are all by themselves. On the broken antler thing, last year I had several bucks with broken main beams esp late in the year. I don't know if it was all due to fighting or what. I've been wondering if they're fighting a buck that twists his antlers or what. I had mature bucks all the way to 2 year olds broken up
