The Dreaded No-See-Deer Bird

Be wary of those cardinals....I have had two close relatives that posted on Facebook about a cardinal visiting them in window or on porch for awhile....then within two days they are unexpectedly dead.
I had a cardinal that was coming to a window at the house and pecking on the window when it would see its reflection. It was very annoying and would wake up the baby. The only death that came though was the cardinal when I introduced it to my .410

I've heard that bird before ! I normally hear it in the late morning (9-10 am) when deer activity slow and it's time to leave the stand.

I listened to a Southern Outdoorsman podcast the other day and a fella from Western NC was talking about how you could find the ripe acorns on oaks by listening for blue jays. He said they love eating them and its around the same time the deer like them. I do feel like there is something to Bluejays. If they are around and the smaller birds are too there's usually deer nearby.
Another one is, I hate getting picked off by crows! Every time one flies over I freeze bc once they see you, they come in and land nearby and squak as loud as possible to alert every animal in the woods of your presence. That for me is the worst. That along with the occasionally annoying woodpecker. LOL
