Ames just completed an effort to capture deer for radio collar tracking and testing for several diseases including CWD. There was a team of researchers who spent several months trying to bait and tranquilizer or net whitetails. In the end a helicopter was brought in to complete the job. The goal was 50 deer. They captured 16.
