What do you guys think about them? My bow is not all that fast and I was wonting to try the g5 striker magnum but I am afraid it will slow my bow down even more. Thanks

Yes, it will slow down your speed initially, but it will increase the amount of energy carried downrange because of the heavier weight. Honestly, a bigger concern is going to be how the spine of the arrow is affected, if any, by the increase in weight up front.

TNDeerGuy, is right on the money. If you shoot a heavier head then a stiffer arrow will be needed. I shoot Aluminum arrows (2317) and I don't worry about my speed. I practice my distance guessing and keep my shots close. I honestly don't know what the speed on my arrows are. I shoot a 32" arrow. So they are heavy. My Full Metal Jackets (300) shot around 260fps with 125gr. head, 31.5 inches long. I shoot heavy poundage, my bow is about 12 years old as well.
The deer I have shot did not care that the arrow I shot them with was not going 350fps or that my Broadhead did not have a 2.5inch cutting width. They just walk/ran 30/40 yards and laid down and waited for me to come give them a ride back to my house.

With the right setup, as stated above, they will work fine! I shot them for 20+ years when I used aluminum arrows myself!

There are 437.5 grains in one ounce. The difference between a 100 gr and 125 gr broadhead is 25 grains. I think that means that the 25 gr difference is equal to about 1/16 of an ounce more or less.

I shoot 125 gr thunder heads on a 30 inch 2315 aluminum arrow from a 60# pull bow. I have no trouble with my arrow until I get past 30 yards. That is far as I ever shoot at deer. The arrow really takes a nose dive from 30 yards on out. I have no idea what speed the arrow is traveling but when I hit a deer, I usually get a total pass thru which is all I can ask for.

Ditto , a heavier head will weaken the spine . Check the spine charts to make sure your arrows are stiff enough for a heavier head .
