Vols keep rolling

Season play I like to see the VOLS for any sport ranked in the 4-9 area. Seems like that 1-3 ranking in all sports has a curse eventually. I honestly hope BaseVols drop to about 4 or 5 for a while. SoftVols are sitting at good ranking of #6. Those mid top 10 rankings give a team something to strive for - maintaining that #1spot over a season is more difficult I believe. Then wild card is its the SEC -- games this weekend showed rankings didnt put 1 run on the scoreboard.
 
BaseVols won a mid-week non-conf against Alabama ST 10-2. Vols got their first hit in the 3rd and didn't score until the 4th. I saw this as an offensive slow down, Vols should have had at least 14 probably 20 in this game. Bama St gave up 14walks and 2HBP, Vols left bases loaded I know of 2times. Hopefully the winning carries over to the weekend, but not the lack of scoring when runners are on, especially bases loaded.

#5 BaseVols weekend series at #6 Ole MS --- FRI 730PM SECN+ (SAT-5PM SECN+ / SUN-3PM SECN)
#5 SoftVols weekend series at #1 TEX --- FRI 9pm ESPNU (SAT-6PM ESPN / SUN-1PM SECN+)
 
BIG series wins for BaseVols and SoftVols this weekend (BIGGEST SoftVols beat #1 TEX 2games in TEX for the series win. SoftVols have won series at #1TEX and at #2OK this season)

Next up for SoftVols --- series against AUB in K-ville - THU - 7PM / FRI-6PM /SAT-2PM -- ALL games on SECN+

BaseVols beat +6MISS at MS for the series win - all 3 games were close largest margin of win was MS by 3. Next up for BaseVols:

#2 SoftVols swept AUB in Knoxville --- Next up for SoftVols midweek game vs #19Clem. With a Weekend series at #20 OLe miss. SoftVols could move into #1spot this week. #1 TAM went 2-1 against unranked Missouri.

#4 BaseVols -- lost a series to unranked KY in Knoxville -- didnt look good offensively on Sat or Sun, BaseVols likely to drop a few spots in rankings. Next up mid-week game vs Lipscomb. Then weekend series at #9 LSU.

Both have road series this weekend - which are tough to come away with wins. Soft Vols only have a series against Ole Miss and finish regular season with a home series against #1 TAM (May1-3). Then the SEC tournament starts 6 MAY.
Regular season(s) are almost over.
 
Yeah that has always been weakness for his teams
Ole miss did same.
Thus past weekend just too many errors. Errant throw, dropped balls and pitchers just not paying attention. On Saturday and Sunday their minds just seemed to be somewhere else
Wondered if the dugout injury affected them some. They need to get focused.

Prayers go out to young UT player Tanner Wiggins. He got hit in mouth by line drive foul ball on Saturday. On the broadcast yesterday it said he in hospital, lost some teeth reconstructive surgery and faces a couple more surgerys. The ball was 104 mph off the bat.
