I have three Tisas's now... 2 in 45 and 1 in 9mm... I have that 9mm specifically and love it. They are amazing. I have had a good number of 1911's over the years, Kimbers, Les Baer, Springfield and Sig... and now only own the Tisas 1911's. The Les Baer was really nice but dang that was a lot of money to have tied up. For less than 3 bills you cannot go wrong with this one...

I've got the G.I. model. Pretty much same as Government but, no lanyard and came with 2 8 rd. mags.

I got two .45's, and love this one. I got a 1911 and a ...... Wait for it, a Hi-Point JHP. No matter what people say, it's a keeper. Feeds everything, whether HP, SWC, TC, whatever. Had to do some polishing on the 1911 to get it to feed SWC and TC.

True... but the gun itself is a copy of the original 1911A1 military gun which used those sights... of course you can replace them or buy one for about 100 more that has many more options including upgraded sights

After I ordered, I noticed it has plastic grips, no mention of checkered wood grips. Just picked this jewel up and it has the checkered wood grips on it and includes the plastic grips. Includes a nice case and cleaning accessories. I'm quite impressed so far. Bonus, these things are assembled in Knoxville. I used Arms and Ammo in Franklin for ffl transfer. Fee was only $30. Clerk/owner said the same transaction at Academy would've been $100.
