So a buddy of mine has agreed to let me come with him on opening day (!!) and he just sent me these pictures... He says this camera is right near where I'll be sitting....

Needless to say, I'm a little intimidated!! :)


 
Wow...if you don't mind me asking, did a county near Chattanooga produce that deer? I would sleep better knowing that part of the state can grow a buck like that.
 
Neighboring county, yes. And that's not the only one like that...he sent me other pics but I can't figure out how to get them out of the powerpoint file he sent...
 
that's a hell of a deer! best of luck I would love to see anyone to get that. and if you get that for your first deer good lord you got spoiled!! just a little advice when you do get one in your sights slow down it seems to go fast slow yourself sown and focus. God what a deer.

Lol! I wasn't asking about "your place", just hope those genes are running around somewhere in Bradley county!
 
Sorry, I'm still getting my feet wet with everything and I've heard about people getting pretty angry about that sort of thing...better safe than sorry!

Bradley county? I'm not sure how far deer move so I guess it's possible, but I'm thinking it's not too likely.

But I do have a friend who's got land between Meigs & McMinn and he's got some like that...not quite that big, but 8's I'm pretty sure...
 
Good looking buck, and look at Mr. Mass on the left.... however, since it's your first hunt, I recommend shooting the first legal deer that comes your way! Good luck
 
Yea if that is your first buck your ruined. You'll have buck fever forever and the problem is you may not be able to top that one. He is a monster and if you are fortunate enough to get him than you are blessed. That deer is bigger than some people will ever get in their lives.
 
Oh, I'll definitely shoot the first legal one that comes; That is, if I can keep from shaking too terribly!

In a way, I kind of hope I DON'T get that one - I know it would definitely ruin me.
