Also is this string stopper wear normal for less than 500 shots?

The little button works on the same principle as the whiskersit removes vibration and acts as a dampener for the string. Often, if you take it off you will lose a 2-5fps but I would leave it on. On your STS, that is a ton of wear! Mine has probably 10,000 shots on it and isn't anywhere near that type of wear. When the bow is in the down position, it should be off of the string about 1/16th of an inch(you should just barely be able to see daylight in between the string and the stopper). If it pushing against the string too hard, or is too far below the string, that type of wear can occur.

How do I fix it?

Fix whatthe STS bumper?
yea

Depending on the make of the STS, you will have screws in certain locations that will allow you to move it around until you get it in the correct position. Every make is slightly different in design, but all of the will have some type of adjustment screws so it can be repositioned to varying bows. How far off the string is it right now?

Ok I found a screw took it out ...all it does is attaches and removes the rubber stopper but it doesn't adjust the length of the stopper I guess faulty design on 2010 black ice flx

STS have string surpressors and yes they wear out with that many shots I have prolly 100 on my mathews string stop and it isnt wore out like that but to be new its definatly taking a pounding.
