One Eyed Willie. Shot him 11/18/12. He had his nose to the ground with one thing on his mind, the thing that gets all us men in trouble. You cant see it in this pic but his left eye had been gored out during a fight with another buck more than likely.
2nd deer ever and first one this year. He cam trotting up behind my stand and stood just off to the side. He kept looking up at me then back down sniffing the Ever Calm I had rubbed on the tree. He knew I was there but never cared. Turned around to walk into a small clearing off to my right and as I stood up the stand made a noise so he trotted off into the woods. Didn't raise a flag or anything. Give it a moment and he came trotting back out into the clearing and again turned and looked up at me. As he looked down I raised the rifle a bit, the stopped as he looked at me again. This continued 4-5 times until I had the crosshairs in view.
Put the .308 165 SST through his neck and he dropped where he stood.
