Been wanting to go bad but just can't get in bed early enough . This tells me my desire to hunt is failing me . I used to never put anything but family before deer hunting ...arggg the dreaded day has arrived I think .

Sat the wrong stand, the revolver camera on my food plot showed great activity there. I didn't see squat. I know where I will be this afternoon.

Wind has finally died down this afternoon

Went tuesday morning but like to have gotten blown off my ladder stand. Saw two yotes that I wish would've slowed down. Helping son move tomorrow and hoping to be done to give it one final try saturday. To everyone still headed out, good luck.
Trying thick stuff I haven't been in this season on the way to food.

My 13 year old grandson hasn't gotten to hunt much due to basketball interfering 
. He wanted to sit by himself for the first time. I was going to hunt as well but decided to just come back to camper and wait on him. Got him settled in 20' ladder stand right at daylight and just got a text that he could hear a chase in thicket adjacent to him! 
that it works out.

The .54 cal flintlock had been loaded since opening of muzzleloader season .
She went off without a hitch, double lunger at 65 -70 yards.

Deer moved late. Had 2 does, 2 yearlings and a small 8-pt come out 150 yards down. Something eventually spooked them from across the field but no idea what. Have a yearling behind me now that I need to leave so I can get back to camp for breakfast. 
One of my favorite spots. Ran 2 little bucks off coming in.

Yessir. 6 out feeding now, calm and relaxed. This is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

We'll be after it tomorrow. Probably our last chance with the rain coming in Sunday. Looks like the plots are where you need to be. My pic activity has really picked up over the plots the last few days. Enjoy!!!
Going to probably have my last sit tomorrow. I have a blind that I haven't touched in a part of the farm that hasn't been disturbed all year. It's a spot that will almost certainly be burned after one sit.

Thanks. I scored once this season already, so it's not a bummer if I don't tomorrow. I have seen a bunch of young bucks that give me hope for future years.

My son and I are on our last sit of the season. We couldn't ask for a more beautiful morning and already seeing deer to boot. Good luck to everyone out on this frosty morning. This is my first yr posting on the site and I've thoroughly enjoyed the conversations and views.

About perfect conditions here this morning, cold clear and almost no wind. Depending on the weather, this may be my last morning hunt.of the season for deer for me. Had 7 antlerless in the plot as it was breaking light, they all fed their way into the brush pile out in front of me.
