Didn't get to go yesterday, and wouldn't you know it we had a mature passer through come through. Nice right side.

No prior pics, crossed the plot out in front of the stand I should gave been in yesterday.

As much as I love chasing mature bucks I'm also a blood brother of the smoke-a-doe tribe if I have a tag and can find a willing participant.

Took the long way around to be able to come in with the wind in my face. Haven't taken one in here this year. We'll see.

Last hunt of the season for me. If I don't get anything today, I'll be going out empty handed this season, first time ever since I started hunting in 2017.

Feels like it's been a hard hunting season the last few months. I've only had 2 or 3 shot opportunities this whole season, one was on a good buck and I messed up the shot, one I had 5 does between 8-30 yards away and had too many eyes on me to draw back, and the final opportunity was a spike that I let walk. All the other deer I've seen have been just out of range or didn't show up lol

I think the travel patterns have changed on this farm this year due to all of the new neighborhoods going in. Lots of previous bedding areas have taken away in the last year or so and I haven't figured out the new travel patterns yet.

With that being said, there were still some fun times and lots of thinking and resting. God is good and I'm already looking forward to next season

Not expecting to see a shooter, but had a couple hrs this afternoon. Been slow so far. They may have already laid it down waiting on the rain.

Sitting in the rain this afternoon, but do have a canvas roof mostly keeping dry. A bit of thunder and lightning off a little ways. Looked at the radar and looked like there should be some breaks in the rain before dark. Hoping a good one comes through during one of those breaks.
