Slighted in my 223 this morning, shooting Hornady 55grain v-max shells.Sighted in at 100 yards, about 1 1/2 high at 100 Yards.Think this is about right?

How does that equate at distance? Sight in at 100, and either dial or bdc reticle to 400 yards. Also depends on what you're trying to achieve.
It doesn't matter if you know where it will hit at given distances. That will not only be different with different bullet weights, but will be different with different loads and manufacturers.
So to answer your question 1 1/2 high at 100 Yards is great if you know where the point of impact will be at 50, 200, 400, or whatever distance you are shooting at.

+ .5" at 50
+ 1.5" at 100
0" at 200
-3" at 250
-8" at 300
Depending on bullet and velocity
I used a .250 g1 bc and 3000fps
