26 lb Paddlefish

Birthday surprise while sauger fishing this morning. Thought it was a big rockfish as it made a big run and had to chase it down with the trolling motor to keep from getting spooled. It's the first one I've ever witnessed caught.

Are you sauger fishing on the Cumberland? I only ask because I didn't realize many people fished for them in middle and east TN. I may have to make a trip up your way one of these days and expand my horizons.
