3.5 or 4.5?

That's an older deer but I'm not smart enough to guess. My son shot a deer this year that I would have guessed was 1.5 years old, but a twra biologist said it was 3.5 years based on tooth wear.

IMO he's 3.5 but it's really hard to tell in those Pics. Either way, he's a shooter next season. Let us see him again next season or maybe even his teeth. Good luck with him.

Reality, that buck could be anywhere between 2 1/2 and 5 1/2, imo, and a lot more than those pics are needed for a more accurate guess.
But that said, I think it's unlikely he's anything but 3 1/2 or 4 1/2.

In my opinion those are different deer. Notice the length of g3's on left side in comparison to g2's....
