35 REM AMMO

I shoot and hunt with many classics. Some must be reloaded as they are obsolete and even boutique ammo manufacturers either do not have them or rarely have them.

The 348 WCF is a prime example. Often it cannot be found as Winchester only produces it in small runs every now and then. So I reload for it.

A couple of years ago I acquired an original 1895 Winchester carbine in 30-40 Krag. The bore was in very poor condition. After a trip to JES reboring it returned chambered in 35 WCF. Ammo has not been manufactured in more than 70 years. However, dies are still available. Running 30-40 Krag brass through the sizing die will neck it up since the Krag is the parent case anyhow. Now the old carbine has a new bore and a new life in a really neat caliber. The ol' 35 will push a 200 grain bullet about 2400 fps so it really delivers the mail!
