.400 Legend?

Campaigning a new rifle/caliber this year…Ruger Ranch Gen II .400 Legend …I have killed several with a .350 Legend which I like a lot…excellent performance…figured this would be even more of a good thing…the larger bore, lower velocity, less jelly makers are perfect for woods deer hunting imo…shoots 'ok'…about 2" at 100 thus far…satisfactory…we shall see…hopefully…

Recoil is not a factor in either of these calibers for me…the .400 has more, law of physics…but not a problem…maybe 20 ga level?…the .400 does have a muzzle break…

The little 350 has just hammered every deer ive asked it to from 10 yards to 240 yards using blue box federal 180 grainers

Exact setup my buddy had me searching for this summer when I was out West. He was hoping I would run acorss that exact make/model/caliber, but I never did. I think he eventually ordered one here in TN.

That's exactly what I got. Paired with a Swarovski 3x10. Pretty excited to see how it goes.

I ended up with a Henry single shot in 350 legend and love it. I put a 2-10 Sightron s-tac on mine. It a soft shooter and reasonably quiet.

I've wanted a 350 didn't even know about the 400. What about the 450 bushmaster. Almost went that direction also. I guess the 400 would be right in the middle of those 2.
