How can game warden measure? Does personal judgment rule?

The way the regs read, the last time I read them, a hat and vest suffice. I don't think any warden takes a tape measure to check your orange.

With that being said, if you are the landowner on your private land, I wouldn't worry about it.

Most breakup pattern garments will state how many inches of orange they contain, and most if not all meet the inch requirements. But I doubt anyone will take the time to try and measure it.

I just buy the type of vest I like with some pockets… solid orange and the I take a sharpie and break it up… fat tip for thicker branches and finer tip for limbs…
