Even the H.S. kids knows what's going on... :tu:

"On his way out of the Florida Gators annual Friday Night Lights event, five-star defensive lineman Shavar Manuel told the media that he was an "SEC guy" and named a brand new top three.

At IMG Academies media day, Manuel confirmed that his current top three continues to be (in no order) UF, Auburn and LSU . He went in depth on each program:

Florida - "Great defense. They're recruiting me very hard, they've jumped to Main Street with me. Coach Chris Rumph messages me about every other day. I also talk to Marquell Blackwell a lot too. They got mad love for me and they just want to see me succeed."

Auburn - "Coach Will Muschamp was the first to ever offer me back when he was at Florida. We've always been close and I'm probably closer to him than any other coach. He's a great dude and I'm gonna keep up with them."

LSU - "The visit there really put them in my top three. It's a great place to be, in Baton Rouge — I fell in love with it — the players, the coaches, the people, I liked it all."

Manuel said there are two teams on the outside of his top three that are still in the running to land him:

Florida State - "I'm still going through the process, me and coach (Brad) Lawing keep talking and we're close. FSU is a great team and a great place to be. But with everything going on right now, it's just a mess, I want to see how it all settles out."

Clemson - "I didn't get a chance to make it out there. But you can't forget about their defensive line and what they do there. I got to throw them in the mix."

Now that his summer visits are completed, Manuel has turned his attention to his senior season. This fall, Manuel plans to take all five of his official visits. Exact dates have not been scheduled.

"I'll probably take an official to LSU during the season and Auburn. I also want to visit Florida, Florida State and Clemson. I have to figure all that out still.

"I don't really have a spot or a date to commit. I think about committing everyday, but I don't want to commit somewhere and have regrets," Manuel added. "Everything changes so much during the season with coaches, players, injuries, I just don't want to decide early. When I make a decision, I'm making a decision. I don't want to have any second thoughts."

What if today was Signing Day? Who would Manuel commit to?

"Right now it would be maybe Florida or LSU. I'm just real high on them right now."

Manuel's recruitment had been quiet the past few months, but it heated up when he visited LSU. The Tigers made a strong move, and Manuel caused even more waves when he announced that LSU, Florida and Auburn were his top three schools. But we are told FSU is not overly concerned right now. Manuel has been all over the place lately with his favorites. Right now, we feel UF has the edge and this will likely end up being an FSU/UF battle. Most don't feel he leaves the state. Whichever way it goes, though, we are told this recruiting process will be a long one. That is expected to be the case regardless of whether Manuel makes a commitment. FSU just got another 4* and another on the way. 1 4* tight end and another one coming. Also 2 team mates of Josh Brown,1 5*. This class is filling fast. Shaver would be nice ,but not a need. We can't get them all. Gator---don't tell everyone I didn't tell them about him being a secret weapon.LOL. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

UF is still gonna have a pretty good defense. Better not give up many points because your offense has no identity. New coaches, new QB ,new O-Linemen only 1 WR with hardly any catches or yards. How is your field goal kicker?

As of right now FSU has 14 either DE's or DT's that are 4 or 5* players. This doesn't include the recruits coming in. FSU would like to have him, but I can see why his confidence would lead him to another school. Good luck to the kid . I heard he is secret to LSU

Sometimes you just have to read what the kids say and you can see how confused they are, here is a statement from what you posted Gator---not saying this is what you say ,but Manuel.
Florida State - "I'm still going through the process, me and coach (Brad) Lawing keep talking and we're close. FSU is a great team and a great place to be. But with everything going on right now, it's just a mess, I want to see how it all settles out."

Well lets see---he says his top 3 are LSU, the Gators and Auburn. LSU has had 5 arrests, The Gators 4 and Auburn has 2,but FSU is a mess. LOLOL---1 kicked off, 1 suspended and will be back. The kid is scared or his mind is messed up from listening to ESPN and their drivel. He can,t handle competition. Maybe he chooses FSU and proves different. Could be another Cowan or Jefferson. :tu:

Shavar Manuel is in the process of setting official visits.
"Of course Florida State is still up there, but I don't really have a leader," Manuel said during IMG Academy's media day event. "I just throw my top schools up there. It's Florida State, LSU, Florida, and Auburn. I'm more comfortable in the South."

Manuel also didn't shy around from discussing his early plan for in-season official visits. Nothing on that front is written in ink of course. Not yet, anyway. Still, Manuel is moving closer to finalizing a travel schedule.

His usual silence isn't because he lacks things to say. That much is certain.

"I'm looking at visits to LSU and probably Auburn … most likely," Manuel said. "Most likely Florida, too. I'm thinking of going to the LSU-Florida game, but I don't know which other games or anything now."
