How many miles?

I normally do, but I've probably only logged 7 or 8 miles so far this season due to sticking with birds for hours upon hours that are across property lines.

typically I end up somewhere around 180-200 miles hiked and around 2500 miles driven. But I'm usually hunting around 45 days from mid March until end of May.

I just checked and the first full week of the 2024 season I logged a little over 34mi. Anyone else keep track of miles logged chasing turkeys?

I use to do it a lot more, but I still do depending on where Im hunting that day. Some places require A LOT of walking and a few other spots I got are tops 1 mile for the whole morning (the birds are either there or they are not)

MOST years it pretty close to the same unless Im hunting new ground or public ground, about 3.5 miles on average a day. Now if on new ground or especially public (which isnt very often) that goes way up. These are all TN hunting based.

now when I go to new states every year I do keep track of all those. Like MI last year we hunted 3 days and that covered about 20 miles

Used to a long time ago but not anymore. However I never hesitate to one up someone when they start bragging about how many they walked.

"Man, I put in 20 miles this weekend!" - whoever
"Whoa! Almost as many as my 22 miles." - me

Depending where I'm hunting I'll track using Onx. Not so much for overall distances but more so to help paint a bigger picture of what I did.
It usually points out how bad I suck.
