6 pt age

What are y'alls thoughts on this buck? Every few years i have an older 6 pter. I have two this year.
I may shoot him, not sure. I have done the mature 6 pt thing several times.

Could be a 4.5 year old. Given what we are getting for pics this year I probably wouldn't hesitate to kill him.

Well he is mature enough and daylighting so maybe take a buddy or a kid hunting if that is an option and you have no interest.

While there's a good chance he is 4.5, it isn't a slam dunk 100%. Personally I wouldn't shoot him until next year to hit the 100% certainty mark. But I don't expect him to add anything much between this year and next except 20 more pounds.

I had this deer at less than 20 yards for 15-20 minutes Saturday morning around 8:00. He was chasing a doe. She ran up and stopped and so did he. I decided not to shoot him because I had a full day of stuff to do. If I see him next week he probably won't be as lucky. One thing thst was cool is he went right by a camera i have set up 25 yards from my treestand.
