60 Yard Group; Is this Decent?

Tell this person that says they can hit a skoal can every shot at 60 yds to come forward with a little wager. Tell them you'd like to see them shoot 12 arrows in a row at 60 at a Skoal can. Then for every time they hit it at 60, you'll give them $10. But every time they miss, they give you a $50 or $100 bill. Since they can do it every shot, that should be money in the bank for them with no worries of paying out of their own :)

I have known guys who have shot great groups at long distance when shooting at 3 D targets , but they completely fall apart when shooting at a live deer . Worry more about where that first arrow is going .

I have "Tell'd" it a few times @ 20-30 yds., but have never hit a deer exactly where I thought I had aimed.

It's a good start but I wouldn't shoot a deer with that group at 60 yards.with your dedication, you'll have that group way down in no time! Stay with it, keep your form tight and steady. Remember to be extremely consistent with your form, it Is more so important at longer distances! Keep at it, and with each session you'll become that much more comfortable! When shooting 60 and 70 yards, I have learned to trick my mind into thinking that I am only shooting 20 yards. Long distance shooting is very mental! Good start and keep at it, you can do it!

Pretty good in my book....esp at that distance. I am a 40 yard max person myself but if i were hunting elk i would have to improve upon that. I just choose to limit myself to 40 cause too much can go wrong beyond that with deer.
