ANY CHOKES ANYBODY WANT TO SELL?
mine has been sprayed flat black for that very reason! may not help but couldnt hurt lolWes Parrish said:Not about the 835, but just something to note, that COULD make more difference than how many pellets a certain choke will put in a circle at "x" yards:
REFLECTIVE SHINE.
Some after-market choke tubes marketed to turkey hunters have a very reflective, shiny finish, which can spook a turkey. I'd rather hunt turkeys with a dull factory choke than any of these that "shine".
Things may be different today, but a few years ago when I was doing lots of turkey choke testing, among the worst for reflective "shine" was the "Jellyhead".

I don't think so HastingsTheRealSpurhunter said:timberjack86 said:I think hastings has one that is .670 .

pure gold 670 throws great patterns in my 835 with 3in magblends and 3 in #6, on the other side with everything 3.5 690 jellyhead does the best in mineTheRealSpurhunter said:timberjack86 said:I think hastings has one that is .670 .

Correct. The 835 & 935 Mossbergs have 10 ga barrels, and choking them down to standard 12 ga constrictions hurts their pattern greatly. If your shooing #5 or 6 lead, a .670 is ok, but if your shooting and HTL shot, you need to open it up. A .685 is the tightest I would ever try and one of my 835's loved a .700 the best.
