I weighed out 10 rds of Varget using my chargemaster using the trickle up method and gave them to my friend who has an A&D Fx120i scale. I run the chargemaster .1 low and then use a vibrating trickler to drop one granule at a time until the scale on the chargemaster just changes to the next .1 grain.
I was surprised at the results. The A&D is a magnetic restoration balance scale that weighs down to the .01 grn vs the chargemaster strain gauge which weighs to the .1 grn. Each granule of Varget weighs .02 grns. Of the ten charges, 6 were dead on to the 100th of a grn. Meaning to the granule of powder. 3 charges were within 1 granule of powder and 1 was low by 4 granules. I'm not sure what happened on the one charge. But, I feel confident that my method will give you consistent charges to within 1 granule of powder.
Based on my calculations, 1 granule of powder is equal to 1 FPS or 1 tenth of an inch at 600 yds.
