Rookie mistake… saw a buck cruising the far field at 250 yards. He came down and went into the wood line. Never did get a good look, just knew he had horns. 5 minutes later I saw the back of a deer crossing the lower field. After he crossed into the thick stuff below me, he turned toward me does second and all I saw in my scope was horns. As he turned and took a couple of steps, I fired. What I failed to realize I still had my scope turned up and at 50 yards in the thicket, he looked like a shooter. Stupid mistake, but he'll be tender eating. 5 point. Smallest buck I've killed in several years. Thank you Lord for a clean and quick kill.

Hi! I just thought maybe you would like to know there's a girl named Tamara Jane from Missouri posting your deer photos on Facebook claiming they are hers. I've attatcged the screenshots to my page for you to see!

Congratulations

As I was fixing to go back hunting this afternoon I got a call asking if this kid could come sit with me. It's my cousin's kin folk on the other side of the family. He's never killed a buck so no way I was making him watch deer that I pass. About 3:45 this buck walked out and got in the tall grass where I couldn't see him. Finally after 10 mins or so he moved and towards us even more. He made a great shot on it and it fell right behind us. After we got to it we found someone had shot it in the jaw recently. So it was a win win for everybody. He got his first buck and he got put of of his misery.
