.....I fondled one of these at this years ATA show and really liked it! I knew then and there I would have to have one of these little jewels, but I decided I would trim my supply of releases before buying this release.

I bought this hand held thumb fired release aid as a back up and for a clip on the d-loop while you wait release! All I can say is that the Stan Just-X 3XL is AWESOME!!! There is NO TRAVEL AND the sears fire like breaking a glass pipet! There is literally NOTHING else on the market like it!!!

Lancaster's has them in stock and they're not cheap, but nothing Stan builds ever is! I'll be watching the AT classifieds for a spare. New the price hovers around $200.00 and used about $150.00.

Is it worth it? For me I thought it was Is it over priced? Aren't they all? Once you feel the fit, finish, and overall quality of this release it is quite obvious that a LOT of time goes into developing, machining, and building this release!!! There is nothing in it's class on the market! It's closest competitor would be the Stan shoot-off models.

Have you ever shot a 3 finger release and wasn't sure how to position the pinky finger? This release solves this problem with a stupid simple design that works great and comfortable! The release can be used as a hook only by removing the lower jaw! The release has a trainer lock that allows you simulate firing the bow to train with! There a lot of innovative features built into this little jewel!

I shot one of these releases at Tuscaloosa . They are by far the best thumb release I've ever shot !!! Like you said it is very crisp . It's almost unexplainable how it feels when you shoot it . I'm a die hard tru ball guy , but their thumb releases just can't compare to this one .

I'm with you on being a Tru-Ball fan, because they are a great company that provides superb customer service! Just look at how they support the shooters at the ASA shoots!

The guy at the TruBall booth flat out told me a lie at the Tuscaloosa shoot. I was standing there looking at the contingency money sign up sheet, and I asked him if I had to be a staff shooter for TruBall to be eligible for it. He told me NO, that it was open to anybody shooting a TruBall release or Axcel sight, as long as they signed the book prior to the competition rounds and then notify them if you placed in the top 3 within so many days after the shoot. So I signed the book. Placed 3rd. Stopped by the booth and told them. They tell me that my gift card would be in the mail. Well weeks have gone by and I sent an email reminder to them. I get a response saying that TruBall only pays contingency to those who are staff members. If you aren't a shop shooter or sponsored shooter, you can buy a staff membership thing for like $30 and that also lets you be eligible for contingency payout. I know its a petty thing...and I'm an easy going guy. But there's two things you don't do with me...1. Don't mess with my dinner bucket. #2 don't lie to me. That hasn't sat right with me since.

Now back to the original post. I love Stan releases. I shoot the MoreX series of their hinge releases. I can't shoot a trigger without punching it but those JustX releases are nice. I like the Shootoff as well; but like I said, I can't shoot one without punching the fire out of it.

I have an old 3 finger st360 that I had before I started shooting a hinge . I'm shooting the 3 finger btgold brass , it's my favorite hinge by far . Tru ball has excellent customer service for sure , and they really take care of their shooters . And they have awesome shooter shirts lol

How does it compare to the Stan Shootoff? I had a Stan Shootoff that would give me a woody sometimes it was so nice.

Of course I'm really liking my Scott Exxus due to the geometry matching my Longhorn. As far as crispness I thought the Shootoff was nicer than the Exxus but I would get slight POI variances switching between my Longhorn and Shootoff.
