This has never happened before, atleast I didnt notice it. I put the new string and cable on my bow earlier this week. After getting it back together and installing all of the accessories, I took it out in the yard to sling a few.
Well, I noticed a twang just a split second after releasing the arrow.
What could have happened? Any suggestions to stop it?

Single or hybrid cam ? Is everything in spec. ? All accessories tight ? String silencers added or STS ? It might be that the string is a little faster than your old string ?

Happened to me two years ago, turned out to be a loose screw on a cam. Go over it and check everything.

Well, I shot some more today. I am shooting pretty good. The bow is really in tune. I paper tuned in the basement, and went out with a field tip and broadhead. I cut the fletching from the field tip arrow at about 20-yds.
I have string leeches, sims S-coil, Sims split limb dampeners, and the little thing that goes on the cable slide......I Still have a twang.
The bew string is a bit faster.
What about a string tamer? I think this is the only thing I dont have.

Cabelas just got $50.00 of my money. I bought their brand of string supressor. The reviews were excellent.

Make sure you know how to set it up. If done incorrectly, you could see some difference in flight.

Some string materials are louder than others. I had a custom string and cable made and the material I used ( BCY 452x) made a little more noise than the Winners Choice (8125). The sacrifice has been zero creep or stretch. Actually the noise IMO is really not louder, it's just different and makes it more noticable.

So did your string noise go away? Did I read you paid $71 for that new string & cable.... was that shipping to? Was it the VTX strings on their website?

Yep, It included shipping. It was the VTX strings. The noise is still there. Although, I have a package on my front porch as we speak. My Cabelas String Suppressor arrived today. If all goes well, I may sling some arrows this evening.

Ditto .

I put the new piece on this evening. It didnt have any directions, but it was pretty self-explanitory. I didnt get to shoot any, I was late getting in from therapy. (Wear your safety harness even on a ladder stand)...Anyway, I will update over the weekend.

Thanks guys..
