I put the new piece on this evening. It didnt have any directions, but it was pretty self-explanitory. I didnt get to shoot any, I was late getting in from therapy. (Wear your safety harness even on a ladder stand)...Anyway, I will update over the weekend.

Thanks guys..

Dang...you fell out of your stand? How bad was it?

I was moving a ladderstand back in September. I was getting it ready for a young man's first bowhunt.
I climbed up and released the ratchet strap that was holding the stand to the tree. The second I released it, the bottom part of the 16' ladder folded up like hot butter.
I fell straight back and landed in a bunch of moss. I walked away just a little sore. .
A couple months later I started getting sore again. It got to the point that I couldnt sleep, I was very uncomfortable while sitting at my desk at work. I decided to go to the doctor, then I started therapy.
It seems that my rear end was jammed up a bit on the right side. I have been walking around in circles since September.
I am almost healed. The lady that worked on me was wonderful. She aligned my rear axle and I am pretty good again.
I was just simply moving a ladder stand and didnt attach myself to the tree. I have moved hundreds of ladder stands. It only takes one time!!!

That did it! I set it up with the string barely touching the rubber stopper. I mean just barely.
I removed the string leaches and shot. It was extremely quiet. No more "twang". It even seems to be more smooth upon release.

I am tickled!

Thanks folks..
