Pic from this morning. Foreground was bare dirt on the edge of a 60ac summer corn field, so we drilled wheat, clover, brassicas so it wouldn't be mud during winter as we drive that area to access back of property.

Corn was cut end of September, and cover crop of triticale and winter peas was drilled into the cut corn mid October. All the green in the background is mostly triticale with some germinated corn that hasn't been killed by frost. In addition, there's about 5 or 6 tons of quarter ear corn still on the cob that was wasted during harvest.

Not much cover around, so most of the activity had been at night, but we've already killed a 4.5yo135in 8pt off this spot last weekend. I've watched deer come from bedding over 1000y away in the evening to feed here all night.

Great picture and example.

And I concur on your "feeding all night" comment. I can't believe how long deer are feeding in the plots at night. Hours and hours.
