I have not put my hands on a Samick bow that I recall but like you I have read some good things about them. I've also read where they preform well enough that you may not need to 'upgrade' to a more expensive bow for hunting reasons.
unless you just want 35# limbs just to have, you may be comfortable with the 45/50 limbs from the beginning. most folks overbow themselves by starting at their compound weights. I did that.
