Age?

Congrats! Like the others, I'm on the fence between 3.5 and 4.5, perhaps lean a bit more toward 3.5
I don't have any history with this buck so it's just a guess. He showed up in that scrape on the 16th, I took off work the next morning and he came back and worked another scrape and I killed him.
 
Me, I am not the best at judging age on the hoof. Once down on ground what I consider mature can be hard to judge neck, front chest, and gut.

If you butcher or even just skin yourself my experience has been, no matter what the year was like, older bucks have buckets of fat compared to 3.5 yr olds.
 
My first impression is 3.5, but looking at the second picture, I am leaning more to 4.5. Based on my experience with cementum testing that I have had done. most have been 1 to 2 years older than tooth wear and trail cam photos would indicate. ( Middle Tn. area, others may be different )
 
Mine is just a guess but I'm guessing around 3.5 to 4.5. Either way he's a nice buck, congratulations!!
