Alabama vs Michigan

Congrats to Michigan. They did what they had to do to win.
I'm not taking any credit from them because they won fair and square.
The Alabama defense gave the offense multiple opportunities to win the game and they couldn't capitalize on it. If Alabama had a qb I believe it would be a different story.

At least three big throws by Milroe in that drive were late and off the mark. Michigan is not very good; especially with some of the opt-outs. Their defense is solid but there were some big players missing.

Ok I'm waiting to hear how they should have been in The playoffs? Come on you fans with common sense know this is a bad team. And quite possibly a bad hire as head coach, remains to be seen I'll give him another year! lol.

Seems like coach is a little too loyal to his starters he should have sat Milroe.

I still have confidence in Deboer. He might not work out but it's his first year and deserves a chance. I think next year will be a lot more telling. Hopefully they'll have a qb that can see the field and read a defense.

The coaching staff has left me scratching my head multiple times this season. I haven't seen anything to give me a lot of confidence in them. Maybe some changes are coming and DeBoer will get his offense completely installed with a quarterback who can run it. Beat most of the good teams they played and lost more to the not-so-good teams; outcoached in prep and adjustments several times.

I think with a different qb this season would be a completely different story.

When Bill O'Brien was the offensive coordinator at Alabama, he told Milroe that he shouldn't play quarterback and asked if there was a time when someone wanted him to play another position. I now think O'Brien knew what he was talking about.

Deboer was not a successful leader this year at Alabama. He didn't display the required courage to replace struggling players and lacked control of his players on the field. His particiapative leadership style resulted with a 9 / 4 season. Some have argued the 9 wins must be credited to Saban's left over talent.

He may be a fine young man, but Milroe is not capable of QB success in the NFL. Please review Bama's 4 losses for evidence. How many times did we see receivers holding their hands up in disgust after plays today?

The April transfer portal will be interesting to watch. Many receivers and running backs recently left the team for better opportunities. While some were financial decisions, I believe other players lost faith in obtaining success with this QB, Coaching staff, and offensive scheme.

Fortunately, I've lived through these struggles before and will patiently wait for the system to make corrections.

Roll Tide

Another thing that isn't mentioned, and I think it applies a lot to TNs struggles at QB this year as well, is OLine play. When the QB KNOWS that he will be pressured, he becomes gun shy. Then when they don't get pressured, it's like they can't go through the progressions quickly enough.

At least TN did have Sampson and was able to run the ball to a degree. I may be mistaken, but Bama hasn't had much of a run game (not counting QB) in a few years it seems. With the recruiting that Bama has consistently had, how is that possible?
