I think I would cry if he walked by me. Once in a lifetime animal and all we could do is watch but it would be incredible to see him up close alive.
Interesting thing is that if you cover up his rack 99.9% of people would say he's 1.5 years old. By your post it sounds like he's 3.5-4.5 years old. Early season is not the time to age a whitetail for sure.
