animals harveted with bow & arrow

Myself am still waiting for my first kill, I have missed several deer but never shot of anything else other than the whitetail deer.

That isn't good, your not taking it seriously enough (you didn't say one or two, you said several. That's way too big a learning curve).

Get setup just like you would hunting and attempt the shots you think you'll have to make and make them. If you can't, maybe take up photography.

Don't mean to be harsh, but... this isn't good. What's behind what you practice shooting at?

Some deer and a turkey so far, the only other thing that I've shot at was a bobcat, shaved its back but that's about it

Range finder until you get a kill or two it will take the guess out of distance and relax you a little

Still working on my first deer with my bow, never even slug an arrow at one. But I have killed a small hog. Squirrel. A crow. A black snake. Opposum. A stray house cat that was terrorizing my friends dogs.

I'd guess either not enough practice and accurate target shooting, or the adrenaline is messing the shots up. I'd either shoot more targets or try and calm down for the shot, or both. I missed one doe, because of a small tree limb if I remember correctly and rushing the shot, and another deer (buck) that I just got nervous and hit a tree, but then got another shot and liver shot him and he died quick. I definitely needed more practice but also was nervous for the shot... it's easy to forget to concentrate on the shot on a live animal. Shot straight over the head of a turkey this past spring when I was perfectly good with my shotgun out to 25+ yards. Just got excited and forgot to settle down and look straight down the barrel. Just a thought

I've missed, but to miss several and never take any?

Shots are fired that don't go where they are supposed to.

Animals are hit that don't kill.

It's a train wreck!
