I know VERY few people with beagles anymore. I'm lucky if I get to make one rabbit hunting trip a year nowadays, but yesterday was that day. We jumped five, but dogs had a tough time. We scored on two of the five. I was most excited that my friend, Elisha (pictured right), scored on his very first rabbit hunt ever!
My grandson (soon to turn four) was too young to go along, but he did observe closely as Pops (that's me) skinned and dressed the rabbit. His Mom was surprised he didn't cry and want to have a funeral for it.
But he was cool with it and understood it was going to become "food."
If anyone in Southeast Tennessee ever wants an extra gun along before season's end, hit me up.![Wink ;) ;)](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f609.png)
