No gobbling this morning, so decided to cover ground. Walked back to where I started and decided to put out decoys and sit on edge of a field. Before I did, I clucked a couple times...nothing. So I got both decoys ready to stick in the ground, and hear a faint gobble. Cool I thought, maybe he'll wanna work when I get set up. Then another gobble closer. I thought I better hurry and get those dekes out. Then another, CLOSE! I threw those decoys down and hit the nearest tree! 2 clucks, and there is the periscope over the rise. 2 more soft, soft clucks and he closed the distance to 37 steps. Nitro out of my Rhino/835 did him in. Fun hunt! 10 5/8" beard, 1 1/8" spurs.

I don't know what's more impressive those spurs or that toenail lol... congrats on a great bird.

Congrats I'm in the sulphur springs/harmony area of Washington co and been seeing gobblers grouped back up and not hearing any gobbling

I've seen gobblers together all season until this morning. Watched this bird w another LB and hen 2 weeks ago. My buddy and I have killed 4 birds in last 4 days. (My 1 to his 3 [emoji38]). Different properties tho.

Today was the second best day of the season for me. Gobbling and covering ground.
