First year for me shooting a 20 ga turkey gun and would like your opinions on what brand TSS shells and shot size would you recomend?

brand is subjective to a point, shot size however you want to go straight 9s

Apex, Rogue, Verdict are all popular brands that are somewhat easy to find. Federal has some decent shells as well.

Foxtrot brand is one of the original loaders and a really good shell but somewhat harder to find.

The new Winchester Longbeard TSS shells are getting a lot of hype but they are new so not a ton of real world feedback on them yet.

Browning and remington get very mixed results.

Midway shows several flavors of 20ga TSS in the range of $55 to $60 + tax and shipping. Back in 2020 I bit the bullet and got 50 rounds of Federal TSS from Target Sports USA for $31/box and free shipping. Just checked a moment ago...$34/box. Might be able to find a deal if you shop around and buy in bulk.

Browning and Remington are the only two I would reccomend staying away from. Federal is on the bubble. Any of the handload makers are going to produce better results.

At the end of the day, any of the 20g TSS loads in 9s are going to outshoot a 12g w/lead. So don't over think it.
