I don't know how to age by tooth wear, so I appreciate the input. This jaw came from a huge buck killed by my son. Based on the other bucks we've killed in the area and have had aged, I figured it had some age on it. It dressed at 176 lbs and had over 5 inches at the bases of the antlers. Just from looking at the deer, I was guessing at least 4.5. I'll probably send it off to have it aged just out of curiosity. Thanks for the feedback.4.5 all day long. Based on wear of PM3, id say 5.5...
But wear on M3 doesn't support 5.5.
4.5 my final answer.

I can't make an accurate age determination without seeing a pic of the buck. Kidding about that but would love to see a picture.
I'm at 4.5 on age of the deer.
Thanks. Yes, it was a big one. What a great memory. He hunted a 7 acre briar patch where he saw a big buck last year, and came back with that thing. He killed it at 12:00 noon.Great buck!
