I have a nearly perfect condition LC Smith 20GA. It retains 99% of the original blue, the wood is in excellent condition, & the receiver retains some of the original case hardening. The barrels ring like a church bell on Sunday morning. Any idea as to the ballpark value of such a svelte beast? Fun fact, this gun is also a registered short barrel shotgun, but has not been chopped.

Why should you register it as an SBS and not chop it?

Yep! It's only been a few months. Cut off is 3 years. Ideally I could find another set of 20ga barrels to fit and chop. That's extremely unlikely, but the dream nonetheless

Yup. Have one I got from here. I paid a little more but no where near a thousand. They're not that hard to find in any condition. I bird hunt so there's some value in carrying it over a brace of pointers.
