Any recommendation for a recurve xbow?

Thinking about getting a recurve for simplicity--but saw most of the name brand 300+fps bows are priced pretty steep. Any thoughts on a decent one under $500?

You can find a very nice used Excalibur for under $500 that will shoot lights out for many many years to come. I paid $420 for an Exomag plus 10 bolts, case, extra string, broadheads out the wazoo. Hope this helps.

Yea, just keep an eye out for a good used one, I got my exomax at a pawn shop for 450.

You can pick up an Excalibur Axiom or Ibex NEW for around $500. I got mine last year shipped for $468. You cant beat it for the price, reliability, and maintenance(lack of).
