Just wondered if anybody had one. That cartridge interests me. Would have to be a great woods thumper.

It's very similar to my savage 220 using 3inch federal slugs. I can also hunt shotgun only areas with a bolt action scoped rifle that groups inside a grapefruit at 150 yards.

I have a Savage 110 Scout Rifle with the Burris 2.75x scope. Love the setup for an area I hunt that was timbered 15 years ago. Shots are generally less than 75 yards. I shoot the Winchester Deer Season 250 grain cartridges. It WILL damage a lot of meat, but blood trails have been massive with very short tracking distances.

Friend of mine and his father in law are in Ohio hunting now. FIL shot a doe with a 450 Bushmaster and he said it knocked a hole in her. Also didn't get the barrel completely out of the box blind and his ears are still ringing from the muzzle brake😂

I got a mossberg after selling my ML because I got tired of trying to find blackhorn and Iowa made some straight wall cartridges legal for deer hunting during shotgun seasons. I shoot the Hornady 250grn and it's pretty accurate. Only killed one deer with it, but it did everything my 45 Encore did.

Rhineland Arms used to have the barrel kits in stock for both large ring and small ring Mausers. But, they have been out of stock now for awhile.
