I walked out to my front field. The wild pack of dogs came through again. Really starting to piss me off!

I'm out here for a doe. Saw 6 does come into the field about 10 minutes before shooting light. I coulda prolly shot one but I don't think it's right to shoot at deer when you know you might not hit them good. Deer deserve respect and a clean kill.

Hoping they'll circle back around later though since I'm near a bedding area. Good luck to everyone out there now !

Good ethics. Furthermore if you're picky and patient you can get a clean broadside shot behind the shoulders so the only meat lost is a little rib meat. In my experience that shot provides the highest yield of meat plus heart and liver if you eat organs.

Personally I hate shoulder shots. I know they drop the deer on the spot but it destroys at least one front quarter, often both. And for me nothing beats an entire bone in shoulder slow roasted in a turkey pan with veggies.

Went out this morning. saw 6 does, small buck, broken rack limping buck, a coyote and an 8pt buck that came home with me.

we're just getting started in North AL. Found my first scrape last weekend. Rut should kick off in a couple of weeks.

Have a wide 4.5 yr old staying in my front fields. He just moved in. Dont really want to kill him. Very torn. Hes out their first light , last light and mid night.

Minutes ago when i came home. Both got a pass today. The second buck will score better. I will get s better look tomorrow
