Anyone else out in this mess?

I'm grabbing a biscuit and some coffee, heading out directly.

It should break around 9am maybe.
 
I didn't really get much rain until about 8. Then it's been a downpour ever since. It doesn't look like there gonna be any breaks until it's gone sometime around 4. That'll give me just enough time to dry some stuff out and get back for the last couple hours of light.
 
If I didn't have a lunch appt I probably would be out. Hang in there and stay alert. Already had a spike run through our yard this morning as I posted earlier. You snooze on stand today and you might miss out!

And stay safe if you're in a tree, especially one with smooth bark.
 
Rain has stopped here.... starting to see some blue skies. Seeing young bucks cruising and saw about 30 turkey....should be a good afternoon with rain moving out and temp drop coming.
 
I honestly thought about it last night at work. But, knew I had to work tonight and it's rough staying awake. Good luck to ya'll that are hunting Today.
 
Nope. I am using a crossbow, since I don't have a muzzleloader, I don't want to chance losing blood if I was to shoot one. Good luck to ya though.
 
Went to my best spot today. Sat in the rain for an hour or so before it moved off, then pretty nice weather. Didn't see a deer, a rub or a scrape or even a track. Went the morning to the same place but different tree, same results. Veterans Day has always been productive for me, but not today
 
I stayed all day. It rained steady in east tn starting around 730am and didn't let up until 4pm. Only deer i saw was bedded down as i walked in this morning caught her with my headlamp and we just stared at each other awhile before going our seperate ways. I was hoping to see some rutting activities but nothing doing. Plan to head out in the morning for a bit not sure how long ill stay. Good luck everyone.

It doesn't stop me from hunting most of the time but I never do any good in it. Its a double edged sword for me. You can definitely be more stealthy in it but also so can the wildlife. I depend on my ears alot while hunting. I almost always hear the deer b4 I ever see them. That's why it matters to me.
