Anyone have security camera recommendations

man i've got a similar situation that needs resolving, i was wondering if there might be a solar based solution but how do you transmit the signal without wifi is where i'm stuck. looking forward to hearing some suggestions.

I think it's reolink that my cousin has that is really good. It's a solar cellular video camera with live feed and its better than the tactacams for security. They are more expensive but for security purposes they fit the bill. I may be wrong on the brand though.

I've got a reolink system. Went this route because I dont want to pay to see/retrieve my own videos. I buy the system and its mine, including the NVR/Storage. Very expandable system, so far been pretty good. Have to tweak the settings to keep moths/bugs from constantly setting it off.. ANd had to turn notifications off on one from 10:00pm-6:00am because the deer kept waking me up.

My property is off the grid, no electricity and no cell signal except the top of the ridge. It was a risk to see if they would work but I went with Spartan GoCams and am able to get good results even with a sometimes weak signal. Not sure if that fits your needs or not since you want something more for security but I have been quite pleased.

Going through this for my place as well. IPCamTalk forums have a lot of negative about Reolink:

The problem I have is everytime I look into this, I get analysis paralysis. :(

I'm going to buy a Tatacam security cam as I can add it to the existing trail cam plan I have with them. Called & talked to them a couple weeks ago about it. Wanting to cover a road & it has a 100' spread. Can add a solar panel to it too.

I'm going to buy a Tatacam security cam . . . .
I've had one now for several months.
It seems to work fine, good image quality.
But I did not find it very "user friendly",
and it absolutely eats batteries.

If you haven't already, read their testing analysis.
Usually, I get better battery life than they estimate.
Not so with this particular cam, as I'm getting less than half what was expected.

Why not use any a number of just regular cellular trail cams instead?
(Including a Tactactam regular cell cam or whatever).

I have the Barn Owl cameras at an off grid location. I have been happy with them. They have a cool AI feature to identify animals, vehicles, people. You can set the camera to send text and/or email of the desired images. American vet owned company with excellent customer service. Check them out.
