Archery equipment prices

I thought it was a nice shop, thats where i bought my last one and should be the last one i ever need. They looked at me weird though when i told em not to touch it ,just put everything in the bag and bow in the box, that i would set it up myself😂
I had them set a bow up and everything for me last spring and the level of not caring or even wanting to make small talk was enough to turn me away.. it was a older Mathews but I had them build strings and I was buying stuff from them

So when I went down the rabbit hole and bought a new bow and a bunch of stuff I just ordered it all online and besides a press I have everything needed to work on my own stuff and about to order a press so that won't even be a issue

I've never bought a bow from them but I did go visit it for the first time during our Christmas break. It's a very clean and professional looking shop but I didn't get good vibes or good first impressions to make me want to be a customer. I kinda felt like they looked down their nose at me; like I was beneath them or something. My wife and I talked about it on the way home and had the same conclusion.

By contrast...I took her to the Harvest Archery shop over in Dayton last week to look at bows. Not only did they have several in her poundage range in stock (a rarity)..they were awesome and went above and beyond. They set every bow up before she shot it so she could get a feel for the bow. Checked timing...poundages to make sure she was getting apples to apples comparison...were super nice and patient. We ended up buying an Elite Basin from them and they made sure everything was tuned and set up with levels and bow vices, the whole 9 yards. I've not had a shop put that much into setting up a bow since Eagles Wings when it was open. They definitely made future repeat customers with me and the wife. They only carry Elite, BowTech, and Hoyt but I can find something within those to work for me when the time comes.

Doc over at Harvest is the best! Dude can tune a bow better than anyone.

The kid with the long hair is a douche' bag. A stump. A know it all that looks down his nose at everyone. No use for him. If it was my shop I would fire him, or keep him in the back turning Allen's.

I really didnt talk to any of them, just grabbed bow of the wall, accessories i wanted and was done. An older gentleman checked me out and was nice enough. It was a nice shop with lots to choose from

I love all the older guys in there. No use for the younger one. If I walk in there for anything at all and he's manning the fort I walk right back out the door.
