Heaven forbid anyone had to make a choice, if you had to make a choice between recreational or competitive archery vs bowhunting, which would you choose? When I first got into bow hunting I respected archery but simply wanted to maximize my time in the woods. Now my passion for flinging arrows has grown to the point I would be more happy stacking arrows at 20 yards year round vs dusting off the bow the week before season and flinging a few arrows before climbing a tree. No bashing or opinions, but are you an archer or bow hunter?

Id much rather kill deer than foam, however I'm not a causal Archer . I spend a good amount of time practicing and setting up my hunting bows . I wouldn't put most serious bow hunters in the category of minimal practice time , just before season starts.

Archers see how far away they can hit a target, Bowhunters see how close they can get to theirs.

Why could you not be both? I considered myself a bowhunter but I always shot year-round. Since when did it become mutually exclusive?

I fall into the category as a bow shooter. I just enjoy watching the flight of a well shot arrow, hitting its intended target be it paper, foam, flesh, wood or cement blocks.
