Arctic Shield boot blankets

I got some a couple years ago, but it hasn't been cold enough to use them. I had planned on doing a ladder stand hunt out in Hardin, but it didn't happen that year, and now I have an enclosed stand, so able to have a buddy heater. I almost got the body insulator as well, but for some reason I decided against it, I may have to look into it again for other purposes.

Back when I duck hunted a buddy had a pair of Red Ball Boundry boots and really liked them and said his feet never got cold so I bought a pair many years ago and still have those today. My feet do not get cold in those boots. Bulky and heavy but they beat cold feet...but I've always heard the boot blankets work great.

Got a pair for Christmas last year, but hadn't had a chance to use them. Tried them opening weekend (temps at freezing) and I never once had to scrunch up my toes to warm them back up. Have no idea how they would work down in the teens, but color me sold on them.

Just be sure to get at least one size larger than your boots.
They absolutely work. Creating a thermal break between your feet and the metal platform of a stand will add hours onto a hunt in frigid temps. Cold feet suck!!

I have a pair of Lacrosse Pac Boots I bought in the early 90s. They are supposed to be good to -30F. Your feet will not get cold. Period. Ever. However, they are like walking in snowshoes. If I have to wear them I take them to the stand then put them on.

I've been wearing non insulated ankle high Mucks and then throw on the Artic Shield blankets along with a handwarmer. Much easier than my bulky Lacrosse boots.

I have a pair of these and they are great. If it is really cold I'll throw in a pair of hand warmers with them. Nothing worse than cold feet!!
