It dropped all its fruit early. I don't think it got fertilized or it was stressed by drought.
That was probably due to the drought.

At the same time, there are two varieties of wild persimmon. One sub-species drops early (late Sept into early Oct), while the other sub-species drops a few fruit over a long period of time, and will still be carry fruit into December. I look for these trees in particular as they can be gold mines for MZ and gun season. There is no way visually distinguishing these two sub-species. You have to observe their fruit drop timing.
