Anybody seeing any army worms in middle TN right now? The farm is in Humphreys Co.

According to my cell cams, they all looked awesome last week, and within the last few days they look terrible. I've never had them hit this late.

My brother is hunting the farm this evening and said the plot he is at looks like a desert now, but looked great last Saturday. He hasn't looked for worms yet.

I had one field that was hit a few days ago.

On smaller plots - any success with a preemptive spraying around the border?
Preemptive yes, border area no. Spray the entire plot. They do t move laterally into the plot, the moths fly in overnight and lay eggs on the soil at any point in your plot. The eggs hatch and the larvae consume your plot in 3 to 6 days. Most sprays will last till a rain washes them down. Watch the weather as they will ride weather systems coming into the area where the winds come from the south and or southwest.
